Five colors from the stage, with room to play.

Some inks need more than a swatch to reveal themselves. This Boston Lore Studio sampler gathers all five of Diamine's Guitar series fountain pen inks into 5 mL glass vials, enough to keep a pen filled with each color for weeks of letters, journal pages and everyday notes. The series takes its names from the finishes of classic electric guitars: the sunbursts of the 1950s stage and the custom colors that followed.

The Five Colors

  • Cherry Sunburst — warm reddish-orange with fiery amber shading.
  • Tobacco Sunburst — deep, smoky amber-brown that moves from gold to shadow.
  • Honey Burst — glowing golden yellow, like lacquer over aged wood.
  • Desert Burst — dusty, sun-baked golden brown with ochre shading.
  • Pelham Blue — deep, saturated blue; the cool contrast among four warm tones.

Why 5 mL

Five milliliters gives each ink several full fills, so you can live with a color across different pens, papers and days before deciding on a full bottle. It suits writers who keep more than one pen inked, rotate colors through the week, or simply want the whole series on the desk at once.
