Diamine's Guitar series takes its names from the finishes of classic electric guitars: the sunbursts that glowed under stage lights in the 1950s, and the custom colors that followed. This Boston Lore Studio sampler gathers all five fountain pen inks into 3 mL glass vials, a small, unhurried way to meet the whole series before you choose a full bottle.

The Set

  • Cherry Sunburst — a warm reddish-orange with amber shading, named for the red-to-amber glow of the classic late-'50s electric guitar finish.
  • Tobacco Sunburst — a deep amber-brown, dark at the edges like the sunburst of the golden age of rock and roll.
  • Honey Burst — a glowing golden yellow, the honey and gold that old sunburst finishes mellow into with age.
  • Desert Burst — a dusty golden brown with ochre shading, a sun-bleached take on the classic burst.
  • Pelham Blue — a deep, saturated blue from a 1960s custom finish; the one cool color among the warm tones, chosen for contrast.

Why 3 mL

Three milliliters is enough to fill a converter or eyedropper once or twice and swatch a full page of each color. It is the size for discovery: try every ink in your own pen, on your own paper, and find out which one you reach for again. An illustrated color card in the box keeps a swatch and note for each ink.

These samples are independently decanted and packaged by Boston Lore Studio from authentic 80 mL bottles. The full bottles in the photos are shown for reference and are not included. Color and shading will vary with your pen, paper, and light.
