Jinhao 9035 Rosewood Fountain Pen — Fine Nib

A warm, reddish wooden pen with a quiet, traditional profile. We chose the Jinhao 9035 after writing with it ourselves: the full-size body feels settled in the hand, the dark grip is simple and comfortable, and the Fine nib makes it an easy companion for letters, notes, and everyday pages.

The “Rosewood” name describes this pen’s reddish-brown finish. Because the body is made with natural wood, grain and tone will vary slightly from pen to pen; that variation is part of its character.

Ink & refills

This pen has been tested with Boston Lore Studio short international cartridges. A black cartridge is included for the first fill, and the included converter can be used with bottled fountain pen ink.

To complement the warm rosewood finish, we suggest a garnet red or a dark navy: J. Herbin Rouge Grenat for a deep wine-toned red, or J. Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs for a dark navy (also available in cartridges). For a blue with good flow on the Fine nib, try Anderillium Indigo Bunting Blue.
