The Traveling Archivist Kit — Fountain Pen & Field Journal Writing Set

The Traveling Archivist Kit is a portable writing system assembled for readers, writers, travelers, and anyone who prefers to keep a notebook close at hand.

At its center is the Lochby Field Journal, a durable waxed-canvas journal cover designed to carry notebooks, papers, and writing tools together. Inside is the dot-grid notebook supplied with the Field Journal, accompanied by an additional Lochby 6 mm Ruled Notebook for traditional handwriting, reading notes, correspondence drafts, and longer-form writing.

For the writing instruments, we paired the journal with a blue Platinum Plaisir fountain pen in a Medium nib and Anderillium Colossal Squid Dark fountain pen ink. The deep blue pen and distinctive dark ink make a natural pairing, while remaining practical enough for everyday use.

Together, the pieces form a compact working archive—ready for a desk, library, train, café, or wherever the day's notes happen to be made.
