Robert Oster River of Fire is a dark forest green with a hidden warm counterpoint: on ink-friendly paper, a red sheen appears where the green pools most heavily.
Reviewers agree on the red sheen but differ on how much shading appears, which is a useful reminder that nib and paper matter greatly with this ink. In wetter writing it can look highly saturated with relatively little variation; in other combinations the green shows considerably more tonal change.
