Robert Oster Burgundy Chocolate Notes Ink — 5 mL Archive Bottle
Robert Oster Burgundy Chocolate Notes is a dusky mauve: plum-toned purple softened by the muted grey-brown of milky chocolate. Its finish is matte, almost powdery, and the color reads quieter on the page than its name suggests. Where the nib lays down more ink, it deepens toward a darker, wine-colored purple.
First blended for the UK fountain pen community and later added to Robert Oster's standard line, it has the faded, slightly antique quality of ink on an old letter, while remaining clear enough for everyday writing.
Note from the Archivist
Few inks carry this much restraint. Burgundy Chocolate Notes suits letters, marginalia, and journal pages that should feel considered rather than bright. It is the ink we chose for the Nahvalur Original Violet Ash, where its mauve echoes the pen's violet cap.
