Jet is a fossilized wood, carved and polished into the gleaming black brooches and beads the Victorians loved, much of it from the cliffs of Whitby on England's Yorkshire coast. Diamine's Jet Black takes its name from that stone: a classic, no-nonsense black.
On the page it writes a clean, true black with dependable flow, a workhorse for notes, letters and long drafts. It stays crisp and legible in fine nibs and full and even in broader ones. The generous 80 mL bottle comes from Diamine of Liverpool, England, who have been making ink since 1864.
