Wearingeul The Black Tulip Fountain Pen Ink — 5 mL Archive Bottle
Wearingeul The Black Tulip is inspired by Alexandre Dumas’s historical novel The Black Tulip, a story in which political intrigue, rivalry, imprisonment, and devotion converge around the seemingly impossible pursuit of a perfectly black tulip.
Wearingeul translates that elusive flower into a remarkably dark ink: a deep black base touched with violet, accompanied by silver shimmer. In heavier applications the color becomes nearly black, while the violet undertone and metallic particles emerge as the ink catches the light. Wearingeul describes the color as representing the legendary black tulip blooming amid intrigue and tragedy—a beauty appearing even in despair.
Wearingeul’s literature inks reinterpret works of fiction and poetry through color, transforming literary atmosphere and imagery into an ink for the written page.
