A 5 mL Archive Bottle of Wearingeul Carmilla, inspired by Sheridan Le Fanu’s Carmilla, the influential Gothic vampire novella first published in the nineteenth century.
Carmilla is a faded rose-red fountain pen ink with distinctive color shading. Soft rose and dusty pink tones deepen as the ink pools, while subtle yellow shading creates the appearance of a withered rose. Wearingeul designed the color around Carmilla herself — an outwardly gentle and beautiful figure concealing something far darker beneath.
Each Archive Bottle contains 5 mL of genuine Wearingeul fountain pen ink, hand-bottled by Boston Lore Studio into a clear Type I borosilicate glass vial with a lined screw cap. Each bottle is individually labeled and presented in a labeled glassine envelope.
The Archive Bottle is intended as a small, keepable edition of an ink — enough to write with, explore across different papers and pens, or add to an ink collection without committing to a full bottle. When the ink is finished, the glass bottle can be cleaned and reused.
