Robert Oster Blue Denim is not the faded blue-grey its name might suggest. It is a saturated medium blue with a slight green cast, enlivened by pronounced tonal variation and a warm red-pink sheen on suitable paper.
Independent reviewers repeatedly note strong shading, good lubrication, and reliable flow. The sheen becomes easiest to see in broad or wet nibs and on papers such as Tomoe River; finer or more absorbent paper may show mostly the blue and its shading. Water resistance is very low.
