Yama-guri, or “wild chestnut,” is a deep natural brown inspired by the dark shell of an autumn chestnut.
Part of Pilot’s Iroshizuku collection, the color is restrained and substantial: warmer than black, yet dark enough for extended writing, correspondence, and everyday notes. Its compact 15 mL bottle offers a generous introduction to the ink without the commitment of a full-size bottle.
Iroshizuku combines the Japanese words iro, meaning coloring, and shizuku, meaning droplet. Each color draws its name from the landscapes and natural forms of Japan.
