Crafted from distressed teak and mango wood, this compact writing box gathers the essential elements of pen-and-ink correspondence into fitted compartments: a clear glass inkwell, black and white feather quills fitted with metal nibs, and a packet of black ink powder.

Antiqued brass hinges and latches and a beeswax-finished wood surface give the box the character of an object that has already traveled. Opened on a desk, it becomes a small writing station; closed, the instruments and ink are gathered neatly inside.
