A substantial glass inkwell inspired by the forms of an earlier writing desk.
Made from thick clear glass with a softly ribbed, pedestal-shaped body, this inkwell brings a little architectural presence to the desk while remaining entirely functional. A hinged metal lid opens for filling and closes over the mouth between writing sessions.
The clear glass makes the ink itself part of the object—particularly appealing with richly colored fountain pen or dip-pen inks—and its broad pedestal base gives it a pleasingly substantial appearance beside correspondence, notebooks and writing instruments.
