Every order is carefully packed by hand in our Massachusetts studio. We believe the experience of receiving thoughtfully chosen stationery should begin the moment your package arrives.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within 1–3 business days.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
During product launches, holidays, or periods of unusually high order volume, processing may require a little additional time. If significant delays occur, we will contact you promptly.
Shipping Methods
We currently ship within the contiguous 48 United States using trusted carriers such as USPS, FedEx, and UPS.
Shipping options and estimated delivery times are displayed during checkout.
Please note that delivery estimates are provided by the shipping carrier and cannot be guaranteed.
Shipping Rates
We currently ship within the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C.
- Standard Shipping: $8.00
- Complimentary Standard Shipping: Orders of $75 or more
- Express Shipping: Available at checkout
All shipments include tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery Estimates
Estimated transit times after shipment:
- Standard Shipping: 3–5 business days
- Express Shipping: 1–2 business days (carrier estimates)
Please note that delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and may vary due to weather, holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Shipping Address
Please review your shipping address carefully before completing your purchase.
Boston Lore Studio is unable to guarantee replacement or reimbursement for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses.
Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information so you can follow your package's journey.
Pre-Orders
Some Boston Lore Studio Originals are produced in limited editions and may be offered as pre-orders.
Estimated shipping dates will be clearly stated on the product page before purchase.
If your order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, we may hold the shipment until all items are available unless otherwise noted.
Shipping Address
Please review your shipping address carefully before completing your purchase.
Boston Lore Studio is unable to guarantee replacement or reimbursement for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses.
Lost or Delayed Packages
Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery is under the carrier's control.
If your package appears delayed, we recommend first checking the tracking information provided in your shipping confirmation email.
Damaged Packages
If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Photographs of the damaged packaging
- Photographs of the affected product(s)
This allows us to file any necessary shipping claims and arrange an appropriate replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
If your package has been lost in transit or has not arrived within a reasonable time, please contact us. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and help determine the appropriate next steps.
Shipping Area
Boston Lore Studio currently ships only to addresses within the contiguous 48 United States and D.C.
At this time, we are unable to ship to:
- Alaska
- Hawaii
- U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa)
- APO/FPO/DPO military addresses
- International destinations

Return & Refund Policy
At Boston Lore Studio, every item is selected or designed with great care. We want you to be delighted with your purchase, and we will always do our best to make things right if something arrives damaged or incorrect.
Returns
We accept returns of unused, unopened merchandise within 30 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return, items must:
- Be unused and in their original condition.
- Include all original packaging.
- Be free from signs of wear, ink stains, writing, or damage caused after delivery.
To begin a return, please contact us through our Contact page with your order number and the reason for your request. We will provide return instructions.
Unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error with your order, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the product and packaging
Once reviewed, we will arrange an appropriate replacement, exchange, or refund at no additional cost.
Non-Returnable Items
Because many of our products are intended for writing and collecting, the following items cannot be returned once opened or used:
- Fountain pen inks that have been opened
- Ink samples with broken seals
- Used notebooks or journals
- Limited edition numbered products that have been opened or personalized
- Gift cards
- Clearance or final sale items
Limited Edition Products
Many Boston Lore Studio Originals are produced in small, numbered editions. Because of their collectible nature, we cannot accept returns of opened limited edition items unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Refunds
Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your refund.
Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, it may take several business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable except when the return is the result of our error or a product defect.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an unused item for another product, please contact us before returning your order. Exchanges are subject to product availability.
